Funky Flower

I managed to have a crafty few moments last night although I only had about 10 / 15 mins.  I thought id try printing a few things and after screaming at the printer for quite a while I created this:

 It is quite a simple card but think its still effective. What do you think?

Barney The Looney

I know this isn't craft information but I couldn't resist putting these pictures on here.  Barney is my Mum and Dad's dog and I helped pick the little blighter out and he's gone from this (butter wouldn't melt):

Now he looks like this:
(Cone on head as he has only just had his manhood taken away). Needless to say he is feeling a bit sorry for himself although is still very much a cunning fellow.

New Embossing Folder Card

I've had a play around with my new embossing folders and this is one of the cards I created. The embossing folder used for this card was called Cuttlebug - Mesh.  I was very impressed with the effect and will definitely be using it on some of my other crafty creations.

The small flowers on the card are from a stamp cutter that I have and the bigger flower in the circle is a flower from a die cut.  Both of these I have layered up using contrasting colours to add more depth.

Butterfly Crazy

As we are coming into Spring now (at long last it has been a longgggg Winter) I have bought myself a great Cuttlebug Butterfly die with 4 embossing folders.

Pink Crafty Afternoon

Here is one of my newer creations am loving pink at the moment. I must say I am totally hocked on card making I find myself looking on so many different websites and thinking erm..... I could use one of them. On another note I must have been a very good girl as my lovely boyfriend bought me 4 (yes 4 new embossing folders) and at present I am experimenting with them.  I will do a post showing the fancy things I create with them.

My First Crafty Valentines Day.

Here is a pic of the card I created for my Dad to give to my Mum for Valentines Day.  My Mum was really pleased with it and my Dad was really made up as he was out of the dog house for a day or two LOL.

My New Crafty Toy

So there comes a time in a card makers life where you need a little crafting friend e.g Cuttlebug, Sizzix Machine etc.  So I read loads of reviews and looked at loads of prices and finally settled on this:

I just fell in love with the pink details on it but was a tad confused on which one to get as the new V2 had just been released. I am very pleased with my new purchase and already feel attached to my new friend don't know what I'd do without it.  The only thing is I am constantly on the look out for new things to buy so watch this space you never know what I might find.

I know that quite a few of you crafty people out there will already have a Cuttlebug or other crafty friend but for those just starting out it is a great investment and the things you can do are endless. Everyone has their own preference but the main ones seem to be:

Wow a blog of my own, now what!!!!

So here I am a newbie to crafting and a newbie to blogging blimey what am I doing LOL.  So the new year came and I thought to myself I need to do something with my creative side so I decided to take on the land of card making and crafting, and what a big land it is.  In this blog I will be card making (maybe a few tutorials), crafting, product reviews, recommending other peoples fantastic work and maybe telling you the experiences I have in the wacky world of me.  So watch this space...
